It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ernie on August 24, 2009. Ernie is survived by his daughter Suzie; son Jim (Mai); grandsons Sean, Robert and Ryan. He also leaves behind his beloved sister Winnifred and her husband Robert, their three children Steve (Gail), Deborah, Matthew and their grandchildren Chiara and Matthew Jr. Ernie spent most of his life at Canadian Pacific Airlines working in the labour relation department. Upon retiring he devoted his time to travel and his grandsons. He was active with the Air Canada Pioneers and was looking forward to volunteering at the 2010 Winter Games. Special thanks to the staff at the Richmond Hospital. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

The bride wore a gown of white silk organza with applique of lace daisies on the sweetheart neckline and pointed waistline. Her coronet headpiece was encrusted with pearls and brilliants above her chapel veil.
Miss Norma Lamb was maid of honor in pale blue peau de soie; Mrs. Robert Bartlett, bridesmatron; Miss Muriel Gross, Miss Darlene Danchak and Miss Sally Schumacher, bridesmaids, in varying shades of blue chiffon waltz-length gowns with large picture hats.
Rev. L.A. Smith performed the ceremony. Mr. Ronald Crockett was best man and ushers were Mr. Robert Bartlett, Mr. Robert Griffiths, Mr. Jack Berg and Mr. Edward Bryan.
A wedding trip to San Francisco followed the reception at Lions Gate Hall."

She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first great- grandchild in August. Joyce is also survived by her sister Darlene (Larry) Lundquist. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, Surrey, BC.
