"KINGSTON BLOUNT
Marriage of Mr. Hill and Miss Watson -
The marriage of Mr. Henry Joseph Hill, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Hill, of Kingston Blount, and Miss Margaret Clugg Watson, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.B. Watson, of Stirling, took place at the Parish Church, on Wednesday, May 20th. The bride is the niece and adopted daughter of Mrs. Hamp and her late husband, who brought her up from childhood. Both Bride and bridegroom, it is hardly necessary to say, are therefore well known and popular with the villagers. Mr. Hamp, moreover, was a considerable benefactor to the village, and it is to him principally that Kingston is indebted for St. John's Church. The marriage was celebrated with a full choral service at Aston Rowant, at mid-day."
