Sandra told me that she had found the marriage entry of Laura Louisa Lacey and William Carruthers Hutton (not W.C. Sutton, as identified in the newspaper marriage announcement of her sister, Gertrude Lacey). The marriage took place on April 23rd 1908 at the registry office in Adelaide, South Australia (page 233; vol 235).2Newspaper - The Argus (Victoria, Australia), Page 3; Divorce Court.
"Decrees nisi for divorce were granted as follows by Mr Justice Lowe in the Third Civil Court yesterday -
Laura Louisa Hutton, aged 44 years, Station street, Morwell, from William Carruthers, aged 46 years, hotel employee, of Berwick on the ground of desertion. The marrlage took place on May 23 1908 at Adelaide and there are three children."
